Tickets are booked!
I booked mil's plane ticket yesterday to fly out this coming Sunday, so she can keep the older 5 kiddos for us. Then Monday morning dh and I fly to Colorado to look for a house. WOOHOO!!! We'll come back Friday evening, and then mil will fly back the next Sunday. We are taking Little Bit since she is exclusively nursing. I told the older kids that WHOA, she'll get to fly on a real plane before they do LOL!!!
We've been looking at lots of houses online, and my dad (our real estate agent) has been able to preview some and narrow down the list. We've found a couple of good potentials, so we just need to check them out and check out the commute.
We're anticipating getting to move around the first of the year.

Now her daughter has a cancerous tumor as well.

The other offer
We received the other offer this evening. It's even better than the first one. YAY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once we can read the whole thing (there were some technical difficulties ROFLOL), we will most likely accept. We just might get to move to CO by the first of the year!
House update
Well, the buyers retracted their offer.
I'm not entirely sure just WHAT all went on, but I think there was something with the FIRST agent they looked at the house with, and then there was something with them not having sold their house. I get the impression it was kind of an ugly situation.BUT! The Amanda people are working on an offer, and our agent should be getting it tomorrow. LOL!
God is in control.
Been a busy week and a busy day
We listed our house on the market on Tuesday. Well, that's when it went "live" anyway. Tuesday through Thursday we had 3 couples come through and an agent previewing it for someone else. Yesterday we didn't have anyone, and it was sort of a relief. I was pooped LOL!
And then today happened LOL.
I'll start at the beginning LOL.
I get an e-mail from our Realtor (Vickie) saying that Dave from her agency wanted to show the house and he'd be calling. So we get a phone call in a little while, but it was not Dave, it was another agent wanting to show our house, Amanda. So we set up at 1-1:30 appointment for her to show it.
Dave calls and sets up a 1:00 appointment. We decide that whenever someone shows up, we'll drive around the neighborhood till we see they are gone, then come back and wait for the next people. (We don't have a lockbox since I'm always home.)
So Dave shows up and a few minutes later his clients show up. My oldest son goes, "Hey mom, that's the people who looked at the house on Tuesday!" IT WAS!
Except this time they were with a different agent (which I thought was sort of weird, but I'll get to that).So they go in, and we start to head out. But I tell my dh, "Hey, stop by the mailbox. Vickie sent those flyers and we can see if they arrived." They did, and as I was putting them in the little box on our For Sale sign, another truck drove up. Dh went to talk to them since we assumed it was the Amanda people.
BUT IT WASN'T. It was a couple who wanted to see the house even though their agent wasn't with them!
So dh said he'd wait for the Dave people to come out and then take them in and show them around himself. So as we were waiting called Vickie to let her know her flyers arrived and to let her know what was going on!Turns out that Dave's people had come with a strictly buyer's agent the first time. They had told me that they were selling their house in town For Sale By Owner. But I guess they liked our house so much that they want to sell it SOON so they contacted Vickie. She doesn't want to do a dual agency so she referred them to another guy in her office. So I guess they used him to come see it now that the wife could see it too.
While I was on the phone, the Amanda people showed up! And Dave's people still hadn't left. And then that OTHER couple was still waiting. WE HAD A LINE OF PEOPLE TO SEE OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!
I finally said to dh that he could wait around with everyone and I'd just take our books back to the library since the kids were getting antsy LOL.
Vickie e-mailed me and said that Dave went back to his office to discuss options. His people want to see the disclosure (which we haven't even finished yet since we just got it last Sat.!!!). The people that dh showed around, their agent wants them to make an offer on it. Dh said the lady LOOOOOOOOOOOVES the lot (we do too) - the only kicker is that her dh will work at the Air Force Base, and that's probably 45 min to an hour from here.
I honestly don't blame them if they don't want to live way out here...that's quite the commute.BUT CAN YOU BELIEVE ALL THIS???????????? It was HYSTERICAL while it was going on. I mean, I don't even get that much traffic when I have a garage sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND THEN!!!!!!!!!!!! The couple who came by for the 2nd time MADE AN OFFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has a couple of contingencies on it, but we'll probably accept.
