Possibly on hold some more
I'm home. This will sound bizarre since I went to a funeral, but I had WONDERFUL time. The funeral was lovely - we laughed and laughed and cried some too. (But mostly laughed.
) I got to see relatives that I hadn't seen in 16 years, and I got to see my other grandparents, whom I haven't seen in 13 years. Spent lots of time with my mom, stepdad, sister, and brother-in-law, and that was nice too. Got to go past the house I lived in till I was 4, and I got to take pictures of my grandparents' farm (the grandpa who just passed away) that had been in our family for over 200 years until my grandparents went into the nursing home. Soooooooooooo many memories!!!!!
Anyway, I'm home.
But now it appears that a stomach virus may be making its way through the ranks. Only one is down so far, and I PRAY that's all, but you know how stomach viruses are....
And dh leaves to go out of town early tomorrow morning until sometime Friday.
And have I mentioned that I have emetophobia, which is a true phobia of vomiting? (Actually for me it's more of a fear of someone ELSE vomiting.) I've actually been doing pretty good today, although at 3:45 am when it all started I did have a minor panic attack.
I just hope I can eat, drink, and sleep this week though as I wait for the others shoes to drop.
NOT COOL.

How nice to visit with family and enjoy the time, despite the loss of a loved one. How wonderful to drive past old family homes and take a trip down memory lane! I pray that this virus passes through your family speedily and that the Lord provides strength for you this week!

Since I am currently miserable with my very own stomach “thing” (virus? food poisoning? who knows…) I am very sympathetic with what you are going through. And while I don’t know if I have a phobia, I really, really, really don’t like other people throwing up. Even babies spitting up can make me gag myself.
Lord, please keep the rest of Keer’s family safe and healthy.

Actually I can relate to that having “fun” at a funeral. LOL Two summers ago, a really close friend of my family growing up died–she was like a grandma to me. I went home for the funeral and saw people from my old church I hadn’t seen in YEARS! Getting caught up with them was really cool. Some of them I hadn’t even expected to see or thought of seeing so it was a nice surprise. I was glad I made the effort to go.
