Um, YEAH
This was a teaser for an article in an upcoming issue of our local paper:
Ditch the eight-ball, put down the Ouija Board and get with real Spokane psychics this Halloween
In other words, don't just dabble and play around with the occult, jump in with both feet and immerse yourself in it.
YIKES.
There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a wizard or a necromancer, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you.
(Deu 18:10-12)

Our local (very small) paper had an article on all the different ways Halloween is celebrated, including Native American Ghost Suppers, Samhain, and Wiccan celebrations. It even had a color picture of a Wiccan home altar. @@ And this is a relatively conservative community.
What in the world are all those odd little sayings up there with the colons that keep appearing when I type my comment? I assume icons of some kind?

Yeah, this is Spokane, for crying out loud! (If you think of how Seattle is, and then think of the OPPOSITE…you have Spokane LOL.) Although I guess “conservative” isn’t necessarily the same as “Christian.”
I think those are the new smileys??? I’m not real sure LOL.

I gues they just saw a marketing opportunity. Halloween isn’t big here since it isn’t really part of our culture. But the spiritual stuff is always going on - a good reason to talk to people about real liberty I think.
