Where I spare my poor husband from listening to my rantings, where I share what is on my heart, where I share about my family, where I share about my God.
C heard the word "cassette" today and wanted to know what it is. Dh told him and then joked that he probably didn't know what an 8-track is. I added, "Or a record."
G jumped in and said, "I know what a record is!"
I asked, "What is it?"
"A giant CD."

ROFL…that is sooo funny! We had a similar experience about 8 years ago.
When my older girls were about 7 and 5, we went into the pizza place where my DH worked (he was going to school full-time and worked to provide for us by working here). The place was decorated in a 50’s theme. Lots of 45’s on the wall. My two were amazed at all the “cd’s” that were hanging on the wall.
We stayed at the Pop Century Hotel at Disney a few weeks ago and my daughter was fascinated with the giant 8-track cassettes. Couldn’t believe we’d actually used them!
(For the record, I only have a vague recollection of my parents 8-tracks. )
LOL!!! I have a similar story: Shortly after T was born, I asked 9yo B to run and get me a cloth diaper. Upon returning with it, he looked at me quizically and said, “Why do they call these cloth diapers?”
Okay… I really did intend to cloth diaper at least one of my last four… but I never did… so now NONE of them know that a cloth diaper is anything but a burp rag or (now) a great dusting cloth…
LOL!!!
