My baby isn’t really a baby anymore!
She turned TWO this past Wednesday!
And ohhhhhhhhh how two she is!!! LOL!
My older daughter was a typical girl when it came to talking, I'd say, but this little one...WOWSERS!!! By 18 months she had a vocabulary of well over 100 words, and now at 2 she is talking in 6-7 word sentences. Just tonight I was lying on my bed, and she said, "Hey Mommy, can I snuggle with you?" using all the words.
She knows her first and last name.
She is going to make a fool out of me when I didn't believe that there are kids who just decide one day, "Mommy, I'd like to wear underwear." She is soooooooo ready to potty train, but we are driving 1000 miles in December to go to my sister's wedding, and a 2-year-old in diapers is so much easier to travel with than a newly-potty-trained 2-year-old.
She is NOT a sleeper, nosiree...I guess her brain is working overtime or something LOL!
Precocious. That is the word for her all right. ![]()
She has the cutest little peanut voice, and whenever she's in trouble she likes to avoid the question by telling us, "I have a dress," which she usually does. She LOVES dresses. "I so pretty," she says.
She is a Veggie Tale freak. FREAK, I TELL YOU. She got a little Larry Boy doll for her birthday, and she repeats, "I. AM. THAT. HERO. THEY CALL ME...LARRYBOY!!!!" over and over and over. LOOOOOOVES them all, but I think "Cumber" is her favorite.
She also loves playing Little People. We have a huge chest full of Little People stuff, and she actually plays with it. For a while she would put the people face down in the bed and say, "Night night." After all, she sleeps on her tummy, so doesn't everybody? ![]()
She seems to not be nearly as stubborn as a few of the other kiddos are...praise the Lord! She is spunky and a trouble-maker, but she submits to authority pretty easily, which is a refreshing change LOL!!!
She wanted a Veggie Tale cake. Alas, the pan is discontinued, and I lost out on the ebay auction, so I had to improvise. I was flipping through the cake decorating book and spotted a palm tree pan. I said, Hey, if I cut a few leaves off, I'll have Junior! And sure enough...I did!

I am so thankful for my littlest girl. She is a true joy to our family! The Lord has richly blessed me!

Aw, that’s a really great job on the cake. And…I think she should marry my Josiah. He is an older man, at four. But he is the penultimate Veggie Tale FREAK. It would make their wedding easy…just make ‘em a veggie tale cake.

I had the same compliant child until she was almost three. Then she became like the others! But, not as bad! (Oh, and potty training was easy with her. I don’t blame you for waiting for the trip. Our daughter has stuffed animal friends in the bathroom to talk to while she potties. They tell her “Good job!” Works like wonders.)
Happy Birthday to the little Veggie girl! Makes me want to find our Veggie Tales and wath ‘em!

You’re **passing** on potty training a kid that WANTS to be potty trained?? You crazy, crazy girl! Several times I have experienced the horrors of missing my window of opportunity in the potty training dept. No good.
Trip tips for new potty users:
Take a potty seat in the car along with some kitty litter and small plastic bags. Line the pot with the bag and add a small amount of kitty litter. let kid use potty. Knot bag and toss. The end. Can be done on the side of the road. No big deal.
Take it from a mother that had kids train as old as 4-and-a-half…don’t go there!
