My King
My King

He's the King of Heaven....
He's the King of Glory....
He's the King of kings, and He's the Lord of lords.
That's my King.Well....I wonder, do you know Him?....
David said, "The Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork.
My King is a sovereign King.
No means of measure can define His limitless love.
No far-seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shoreless supply.
No barrier can hinder Him from pouring out His blessings.
He's enduringly strong....
He's entirely sincere....
He's eternally steadfast....
He's immortally graceful....
He's imperially powerful....
He's impartially merciful.......Do you know Him?
He's the greatest phenomenon that ever crossed the horizon of this world.
He's God's Son....
He's a sinner's Saviour....
He's the centerpiece of civilization....
He stands in the solitude of Himself....
He's august....
He's unique....
He's unparalleled....
He's unprecedented....
He's the loftiest idea in literature....
He's the highest personality in philosophy....
He's the supreme problem in higher criticism....
He's the fundamental doctrine of true theology....
He's the cardinal necessity for spiritual religion....
He's the miracle of the age....
He's the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him....
He's the only one qualified to be an all sufficient Saviour......I wonder if you know Him today?
He supplies strength for the weak....
He's available for the tempted and the tried....
He sympathizes and He saves....
He strengthens and sustains....
He guards and He guides....
He heals the sick....
He cleanses lepers....
He forgives sinners....
He discharges debtors....
He delivers captives....
He defends the feeble....
He blesses the young....
He serves the unfortunate....
He regards the aged....
He rewards the diligent....
and He beautifies the meek.......I wonder if you know Him?
Well, my King....is the King....
He's the key to knowledge....
He's the wellspring to wisdom....
He's the doorway of deliverance....
He's the pathway of peace....
He's the roadway of righteousness ....
He's the highway of holiness....
He's the gateway of glory.......Do you know Him?
Well....His office is manifold....
His promise is sure....
His light is matchless....
His goodness is limitless....
His mercy is everlasting....
His love never changes....
His word is enough....
His grace is sufficient....
His reign is righteous....
and His yoke is easy, and his burden is light.
I wish I could describe Him to you, but He's indescribable....
He's incomprehensible....
He's invincible....
He's irresistible.Well, you can't get Him out of your mind....
You can't get Him off of your hand....
You can't out live Him,
and you can't live without Him....
The Pharisees couldn't stand Him,
but they found out they couldn't stop Him....
Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him....
The witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree....
Herod couldn't kill Him....
Death couldn't handle Him,
and the grave couldn't hold Him.Yea!!!, that's my King, that's my King.
Father..."Thine is the Kingdom....
and the Power....
and the Glory....Forever"....
and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever.
How long is that?
And ever...and ever...
and when you get through with all the forevers, then....

Old Me, meet the New Me
12 weeks after it started, it ended. My Biggest Loser competition ended yesterday. I came in third!!!
I lost a total of 20.5 lbs. Here are some pictures:

Tonight when someone asked to see my ID, she said, "Is this really you?" WAHOOTY!!!!!!!!!!! (Babs, that was for you LOL!)
I still have 7.5 lbs. to reach my goal, so on August 4th I will begin another Biggest Loser competition lasting 12 weeks. I think I just might be able to do it!!!

I personally would say that the operative words in these definitions are false and malicious.
Is sounding a warning bell about something slanderous?

An epiphany about the Pearls
(resulting from their latest newsletter)
I hear the following frequently about Michael and Debi Pearl's materials:
"Well of course there are things I disagree with. But there is a lot of good in there too."
I don't buy the 27% fat ground beef for a reason. It may have been made from a younger cow, but it's pretty much a waste of my time and energy to buy it because it so full of fat. I am paying for all that fat that just drains out of the beef. My "pound" of ground beef isn't as meaty as my pound of ground beef from say, 12% fat beef. So I don't buy it.
The same goes for the Pearls' materials. There may be some good in them. I don't deny that one bit. But there is just so much bad that it becomes a waste of time and brain power to read them.
If I want to get wheat out of a bag of wheat, do I choose the bag that is mostly chaff? No.

Of ebay and piggies….
Not sure when this took place, but teacher's editions of homeschool books are no longer permitted to be sold on ebay:
Teacher’s editions of textbooks and solutions manuals that are intended solely for use by teachers are not permitted by eBay.
Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
- Listing cancellation
- Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
- Limits on account privileges
- Account suspension
Some examples:
Items that are prohibited:- Solutions manuals for teachers, teacher(s) manuals, instructor manuals are prohibited
- A hardcopy of a teacher’s edition of a math book
- A PDF, TIF version of a teacher’s edition of a textbook
- An eBook version of a Teacher’s manual on a CD-R
Items that are allowed:
- Solutions manuals for students
Additional InformationTeacher’s Edition textbooks are often clearly labeled as such but if you have any doubts, you should avoid selling the item on eBay. Teacher’s Edition textbooks often have special answer keys, exams, teaching tips, and guides to be solely utilized by the instructors of those courses.Why does eBay have this policy?Teachers editions are intended for teacher’s use and eBay believes in limiting the resale of those items as we are not equipped to verify if the buyer is a teacher or not.Well, you know those kindergarteners...they are prone to cheating out of teacher's editions, especially when they can't read....
And lest anyone think that this doesn't apply to homeschoolers, it most certainly DOES.So what is a homeschooler with curriculum to buy/sell to do? I'm not a Vegsource fan...I can never find anything on there since the site isn't searchable, and they ban too many IP addresses. In March of 2006, I received several notices from eBay saying they had removed listings due to their policy on Teacher Editions. It was no mistake. eBay and others, such as Amazon, have decided to ban anything resembling a teacher book because "teacher books are meant for use by teachers only." Having homeschooled my children for a decade, I tend to think of myself as a teacher! But eBay doesn't. So I had to find another avenue to sell my books. Not wanting to get mixed up in another huge mess, I decided not to begin again on another big-name website. So here I am - just me, This Little Piggy, and anyone else who wants to join me and make this a positive and affordable online community for buying and selling used homeschool curriculum. And then there were three
Six years ago yesterday I became the mom to three. And not just boys anymore, but I finally had me a girl.
The circumstances were um, not ideal. If anyone ever considers delivering a baby at Madican Army Medical Center, RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN.
Thanks to them and their lame policies, I couldn't reflect upon her birth or at least three weeks without sobbing. (No, I am not exaggerating.)However. I had my sweet girl.
L was my best sleeper. She was my only thumb-sucker. She was a VERY easy baby. (Probably because of her good sleeping and thumb sucking!
From 6-9 months she didn't gain an ounce, so she was officially labeled "failure to thrive." We tried it ALL. She was refusing ME when it came time to nurse. We tried solids (only the highest fat and calories - none of that cereal or veggies!). We did 6 oz. of formula daily. Nada. We ran tests, tests, and more tests. Still nada.
Then one day she just started growing and hasn't stopped. She went from the 25th percentile to the 95th in no time. I still am not sure just what the problem was - the only thing I can think of is that she had a slight cold.
L is all girl - loves Barbies, dresses, dolls, and DRAMA.
But don't let her fool ya. With three brothers she knows how to play boy stuff like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings just fine.L is a total daddy's girl. She almost never draws me pictures, but Daddy's office is plastered with pictures of her and - you guessed it - Daddy.
SOMETIMES she'll include me - you can tell it's me because of my glasses.
She is such a precious girl...I am so blessed!!!
