Cindy Sheehan Considering Senate Run

And don't miss this short paragraph at the end of the article:
Sheehan and other peace activists met Saturday with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, himself a critic of Bush and the Iraq war.
Oh, OK, so now she's a foreign dignitary or something????

In my quest to be more loving of people, I find that I have to really avoid listening to Cindy Sheehan as my reaction is “grrrrrr” with accompanying rolling-eyes and just goes downhill from there. This topic can get pretty personal with me since DH is military and has some friends over in Iraq. Also my own father died as a result of service in Vietnam. I’m sorry for the loss of her son, but I just can’t agree with the way she’s capitalized on it.

I’m afraid this poor woman is going to have a whole lot of real grief to face up to when she no longer has a dramatic cause to tackle or kings of nations to confront. Sometimes people will do all sorts of things to avoid the pain they feel that they cannot bear. One day the media will fade away and the leadership meeting offers will end and then all she will be left with is her searing greif…the hole in her heart that has been left by the loss of a child. We need to pray for her and all mothers and wives like her who suffer the same sorrow. May the Lord meet her right where she is…..
