Wow, almost a whole week has gone by!
And really I wouldn't consider some of my latest posts to be all that meaty. LOL!
S, my youngest, has been quite sick this past week. Monday afternoon I was holding her, and I thought, gee, you feel sort of warm. So I took her temperature, and it was 101 point something under the arm. Since a couple of my others had recently had the same thing, I knew that at some point soon she'd develop a cough. Sure enough, during the night I heard that all-too-familiar barking sound coming from her room.
The others who had the same thing got a fever for a day and then a cough for about a week. Not S. I'm guessing it's because she is so young??? (She turned 13 months old last Thursday. Wah, by the way. LOL) She proceeded to run a 103+ fever until Thursday evening! At one point it was 103.8 under the arm At that point I said, "That's it, we're stripping her down." Fortunately the Tylenol and Motrin kept the fever at bay (didn't completely go away, but it was below 102, which is fine with me.) The scary part was that she was just so LETHARGIC. S is a go-getter, and for her to just lie around and sleep all the time is NOT LIKE HER at all. (She doesn't sleep normally LOL!) She wasn't fussy really, but just would not play or anything. It was so sad.
Friday she finally started to play a little, and her fever was only 100ish, so I didn't give her any meds. Friday night she was still slightly warm but was pouncing on dh, trying to get him to tickle her and wrassle with her, so I knew that she was on the mend.
She still sounds like she has been smoking since birth ;-), but she is fever-free and quite playful. Quite hoarse, and at times her nose runs like a faucet, but we are getting our little S back.
I just hope I don't get it since dh is out of town this week. It will be a miracle if I don't because at times the only way S could get comfortable during the night was right up against me, and then she'd proceed to cough in my face.
Oh well, if I do get it, I think I'm set on medications. It will take longer to get rid of, but desperate times call for desperate meausures!
I've missed y'all!

Glad the little one is feeling better. I am always afraid I’ll come down with it the worst too, but I down the Vitamin C and pray. Usually it doesn’t affect me too bad. I’ll pray that you are not affected, especially with dh out of town.
